Trudi Davidoff
is the leading expert in Winter Sowing Germination, her website, WinterSown.Org, is aimed at the home-gardener and provides "green" information on the germination method, seed saving, seed trading and seed storage. Trudi maintains a seed bank and freely provides seeds to individuals, and worthy organizations like Veteran's Administration hospitals, at-risk youth programs, blue-collar factory groups, food-bank garden initiatives, community gardens, and public schools and kid's clubs.
WinterSown Educational has been an AgNIC Partner since 2003 and has grown from small site to one of several hundred quality pages that land high hits for AgNIC numbers. For the 2009 AgNIC Conference, WinterSown Educational stepped up to the plate and created a venue at WinterSown.Org for collecting conference fees.
Trudi, and her husband Steve and son Jason , live on Long Island, in East Meadow, NY. Trudi is a member of Zonta International and regularly volunteers to help raise funds for women's issues. During the summer season Trudi teachers basic horticulture and healthy-snack nutrition at an ecology-based summer camp held at the Sophia Learning Center in Amityville, NY.
